Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking within the RIEN (Rural Innovative Educators Network) group of small schools. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. We have performed at KROP (Kids Rapt on Performing) in Griffith and the Oli Townsend Concert in Lake Cargelligo, as well as performing at assemblies and presentation evenings.
Our Yrs 5 & 6 students attended a 3-day Creative Arts camp in Lake Burrendong this year.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world. Each year we join with other small schools in our area for a major school excursion, travelling to Canberra, Sydney or Victoria.
